Performance evaluation

University personnel shall be evaluate in two categories of performance, 1) work performance and 2) work competency, twice a year.

First performance evaluation (April) is for personnel’s performance between 1 August of the previous year to 31 January of the current year. Personnel shall be evaluating on their performance for Semester 1 of the past academic year. 

Second performance evaluation (October) is for personnel’s performance between 1 February to 31 July of the current year. Personnel shall be evaluating on their performance for Semester 2 and summer semester of the past academic year.

The performance evaluation outcome shall be based on the average scores for current and previous evaluation periods.

Component of Performance Evaluation Committee
Academic staff: The Committee shall consist of personnel’s immediate superior, superior at the higher level and experts outside the work unit.
Support staff: The Committee shall consist of personnel’s immediate superior and higher-level of superior along the chain of command.
There shall be forced ranking of personnel in each work unit based on the performance rating of A, B+, B, C+, C. Reasons for A and C rating must be provided.Personnel who fail the performance evaluation shall receive the rating of C and shall not be considered for a salary increase. Personnel who fail three consecutive performance evaluations shall have terminated their employment contract by the University.
